International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP)
ILEP is designed to foster international collaboration around teaching and learning. Teacher fellows from around the world study in the US and work with their colleagues to enrich their skills and develop smart practices.
In 2007, Ms. Bouchra Arrif and Gamal Sherif collaborated in the planning in implementation of a three-day professional development workshop that was held in Casablanca, Morocco. The focus of the workshop was "Project-Based Learning and Alternative Assessment." Over 25 secondary teachers of English from across Morroco conferred on student engagement, integration of English language themes and effective instructional strategies.

The ideal school - - -
In one of our workshops, we discussed the design of our "ideal school." Questions included:
What would this school look like?
How would the architecture influence student-teacher interaction?
How many students could the classrooms accommodate?
What kind of facilities would there be for library, multi-media arts, athletics?
